IMEs can be simply done in a few steps:
Step 1. Book Appointment
Book your appointment online. Please make sure you fill out the intake and consent form. Each family member will require their own account.
Step 2. Medical Exam
Please arrive a few minutes early. If you require a translator, please bring a translator with you. The IME may include but not limited to:
- Vision Test
- Urine Sample Collection
Please bring the following items:
- Photo identification document
- IMM101E document
- All current medications
- Glasses or contacts
- Work/Study permit
Acceptable photo identification documents:
- Original Passport
- National ID Card
- Driver’s License
- Refugee Travel Document
- Red Cross Travel Document
- UN Laissez-Passer
- Seaman’s Book
- OAS Travel Document
- Refugee Protection Claimant** Refugees must present this document. Otherwise, you will be charged at the regular rate.
Please ensure that you bring the appropriate identification documents for the exam. The documents should be a photo identification that is valid. We are unable to accept expired or copies of the identity documents.
We are unable to accept the following identification documents:
- BC Services Card
- BCID
- Student Identification Card
Step 3. Chest X-Ray
You will be given a requisition for a Chest X-Ray (to be completed at Brooke Radiology Kingsway.)
Step 4. Blood Test
You will be given a requisition for a Blood Test (to be completed at LifeLabs Metrotown.)
