About the Clinic
At the Immigration Medical Abbotsford Clinic, physical examinations are administered by our IRCC registered panel physician. Chest x-ray, urine, and blood tests can be easily completed within the same day as IME appointments, with radiology and laboratory units located within a 5 minute walk from our clinic. Once your IME is complete, you can relax. We submit digital results to Immigration Canada, which is usually submitted 5 to 10 days after your exam.

Process Description:
1. Book Your Appointment - To book an appointment, go to clinic's website and click on BOOK NOW. Answer the questions presented, and make sure to schedule your appointment with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada timelines in mind.
2. Medical Exam, X-ray, Labs - On the date of you appointment you will have the exam completed at our clinic. Patients then visit an X-ray clinic and Laboratory - with locations available within a 5 minute walk to complete any needed X-rays or Labs.
3. Exam Result Submission - Once your IME is complete, we submit your digital results to Immigration Canada through eMedical. Exams will be submitted within 5 days after the medical exam, labs, and x-rays have been completed.
FAQ
What is the cost of the exam?
The cost of the exam is $220 for adults (age 15+) and $200 for children (age 14 or under). This includes examination by panel physician and for IME report to be submitted to the IRCC via eMedical system. This price excludes any costs of blood test or X-ray that may be required, which are charged by Lifelabs and the radiology clinic respectively.
If you are requiring a Medical Diagnostic Test under the Canadian Ukrainian Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) program, the exam is FREE as long as you have a valid MSP card. This includes the bloodwork and X-rays that may be required.

I am a refugee, and the government is requiring me to do an IME. Can I get this done here?
Yes. We see many refugees and we would be happy to see you for your IME. The cost of your exam is likely covered by the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) for this. Please send us an email at contact@immigrationmedclinic.com if you have any questions regarding this.

I am a new arrival from Ukraine under the CUAET program, and I need a Medical Diagnostic Test within 90 days. Can I get this done here?

I am pregnant, can I defer a chest X-ray?
Yes. After giving birth it is your responsibility to complete the X-RAY and notify our office when it is done. A copy of the Pregnancy Deferral Document will need to be provided to your visa office.
Do I need to bring a photo?
No. Your photo will be taken in our clinic at the time of your appointment.
How long will it take to complete the examination and do all the required tests?
Our clinic is conveniently located within a 5 minute walk from an X-ray clinic and laboratory. This makes it easy for patients to finish their required tests and X-ray the same day as their scheduled IME appointment.
Where can I find the status of my application?
Please call the IRCC Client Support Centre at 1-888-242-2100 (in Canada only).
How will my examination be submitted after I complete my labs and X-ray?
We are sent the results directly and we use e-Medical to submit the IME report to IRCC. We do not use any paper files and you do not need to come back.
How long is the exam valid for?
It is valid for 12 months. Please complete your application within this time, or you may need to have another examination.
