1. Booking Information
You will need your passport and valid credit card to make a booking. If you already have a unique Identifier (such as a IME, UCI or UMI) please input this number otherwise leave the field blank.

Note: Streamlined IME is only for eligible customers who have been notified directly by the IRCC.
If you do not already have an IME, UCI or UMI, you can still make a booking online, our Medical clinics will allocate a health case identifier when you arrive.
Canada - UCI stands for “Unique Client Identifier.” It is also known as a client identification number (client ID). If you are applying to us for the first time, you will not yet have a client ID. In order to obtain a Unique Identifier for Canada please call our contact center who will create a UMI for you.

2. What to expect on the day
Please arrive on time and allow up to two (2) hours for your appointment.
Please note: Friends and family are not permitted to accompany you during your immigration health examination, however children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or an adult guardian. Should a chaperone or interpreter be required, Bupa Medical Visa Services will provide this on the day.
You do not need to fast.
You will need to bring:
- Valid original passportIf your passport is not available, the following identity documents are accepted (plus, if available, a photocopy of your passport's bio page, preferably in colour)
- National Photo ID card
- Seaman's book
- Refugee travel document
- Red Cross Travel Document
- UN Laissez-passer
- QAS travel document
- For children/students who do not have one of the identity documents listed above, the following may be presented:
- IMPORTANT: The accompanying parent/guardian MUST present one of the identity documents listed above.
- Birth certificate and/or School/College/University ID of the child/student
- IME/UCI/UMI number, if available.
- For Upfront Medical examinations - general instructions from the IRCC website identifying you as being eligible to do an Upfront Medical examination
- Eyeglasses or contact lenses if you wear them to see as there is an eye test.
- Information about any prescription medication that you take.
- Copies of medical reports about any current or previous medical condition(s).

All fees above are displayed with GST included and apply to appointments attended from 1 July 2023. Fees are subject to change.
Additional fees and charges may apply if the doctor requests further tests, procedures or pathology.
Payment for health examinations can be made online through our booking system. Credit, debit and prepaid card payments using Visa, Mastercard or American Express attract a 0.495% surcharge.
Cash will not be accepted as a payment method at the centres.
5. Payments
Payments for visa assessment appointments can be made when booking though our Contact Centre, or on the day of your appointment, using American Express, MasterCard, Visa or EFTPOS via a debit card. Cash is not accepted. Fees for Canadian immigration medical exams are located on the BMVS website. Please be familiar with our rescheduling / cancellation policy before booking.
