Laboratory (Blood and Urine Tests) Instructions

Please book your laboratory by calling (403)777-5136 or online www.calgarylabservices.com for immigration purposes.You can schedule your lab appointment for  after  2 hours of your appointment of  seeing  the doctor or any convenient days for you . Requisition will be provided by the doctor.

Ages 5-14: Require only a urine test
Ages 15 and older: Requires Blood and Urine tests

Radiology(Chest X-Rays ) Instructions
Chest X-Rays are required for ages 11 and up, and are available at the below locations ONLY!!
Walk in only (No appointment required for your chest X Ray) but your chest X Ray can only be done after your examination has been completed in our office following which you will be provided  with the necessary documents to proceed.

Please be advised that these are the only radiology clinics recommended for E medical for Immigration Canada. DO NOT GO TO ANY OTHER CLINIC FOR YOUR CHEST X-RAY. Failure to follow these instructions can result in major delays with your medical examination.

AFTER YOU MEDICAL EXAMINATION

What next??? Now that you have completed your medical history and examination.

Please proceed to carry out the tests ordered.

What next?

The X-ray and laboratory results will be sent to me directly electronically after which there are 4 possibilities.

Possibility # 1- No further needs/ requirements on your part and I will forward the medical records to the appropriate authorities. I will not discuss the findings with you.

Possibility # 2- You need a repeat of some test(s) but do not need to see me in person. My office will call you and advice you about any such test and how to go about it. I will not talk with you directly . You will not need to pay me for this extra job.

Possibility # 3- Your test(s) results require that, I inform you and /or order further testing or arrange specialist consultation. I will not be able to discuss this on the phone.You will be recalled and we will arrange a follow-up office visit with me.This will cost you ($120.00) CND dollars.

Possibility # 4- The immigration medical department in some situations will write you later advising you to take a letter back to the doctor who did your immigration medical. This often means you need more test or information. If that is the case then you will also need to pay the ($120.00) CND dollars follow-up  visit fee.

We encourage you to please call our office 10 days after Medical Examination to be certain that everything is OK.
