Preparing for exam
We value your time, hence we kindly advise that in order to prepare your case, you provide our office your IME Case Number which is printed on the Medical Report and Biodata Summary issued by IRCC (see sample here) when you book your appointment, if available. Complete the online booking form, we will send you a secure link to provide us with more identification information. We ask that your name and last name, should be as it is on your government issued identification document.
The examination will include-see table.
Blood test can be done at Life labs  on 65 Larch Street  ( walk in) or by appointment ( 65 Larch street, 1560 Lasalle Blvd or 93 Notre Dame Street—Azilda). If you choose to book an appointment, do that in advance of your visit and let panel physician know , which of these labs that you have a scheduled appointment
What you need to bring to the appointment:
- Original passport and/or government issued photo I.D.
- Any official papers you received from IRCC for the exam
- All your current medications or prescription list
- Any recent relevant medical reports for any previous or existing conditions
- Including any test reports and consultation reports with medical specialists
- Eyeglasses or contact lenses, if you wear them
- An interpreter (is a REQUIRED), if you do not understand or speak English fluently
- Applicant age 15 or under must be accompanied by his/her legal guardian.

Other information that you need to know.
·  Immediately after your examination, we will provide you the E-Medical document with your case number (IME/UMI) and photo identification to confirm your visit and examination.
·  If your examination is an Upfront Medical Exam (UMI) you will need to submit  this document with your application to IRCC.
·  Do not need to bring any photos. A digital photo will be taken at our office.
·  You do not need to fast, before the appointment.
All medical results will be submitted electronically to IRCC and usually take between 5 to 21 business days after completion of all required tests and examinations.
Additional Cost:
1. If your test results are abnormal, you will need to come in person for review and there will be a cost for the visit .
2. If immigration asks you to  contact us for additional exam, you will need to book a visit and this also comes with a cost.
3. If you need copies of the medical examination reports, there is a $20.00 cost for this and you will need to advise us in advance, come in person  and  pick it up.
